I created Ayaresa Therapy because I wanted to create a space for black women, black children, BIPOC, and LGBTQ people. Ayaresa means healing in my home country of Ghana. The marginalized identities we face often plays a major role in our mental health.

Growing up in a Ghanaian household, mental health was never discussed. In many marginalized communities, mental health is not discussed even though we battle harmful macro and micro aggressions each day that plagues or brain’s health.

Existing can be hard.

I created Ayaresa Therapy to change that.

Mental health issues are real in our community.

Let’s talk about it.
